After sale services refer to various processes which make it sure that customers are satisfied with the products and services of the organization.

Selling process extends beyond sale. Salesperson has to make it sure that everything went fine after sale also. It can be known by making a call or a visit to the customer. Any problem or complaint by the customer should be handled promptly for his full satisfaction.

 

After Sale Services Techniques:

  1. Regular Contact:

Salespersons stay in touch with the customers even after the deal.

  1. Support Services:

Necessary support services are provided to the customers like installing, maintaining or operating a particular product e.g. in case of sale of laptops, salesman must ensure windows are configured in the system and customers are able to use net without any difficulty.

  1. Grievance handling:

Salespersons listen to customers' grievances and make them feel comfortable, like:

  • Product found broken or damaged should be exchanged immediately.
  • A toll-free number should be given to the customers to call and discuss their queries.
  • Create a section in organization’s website for customers to register their complaints.
  • Take feedback of the products and services from the customers.
  • Salesmen ask the customers to sign Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), an agreement between the organization and the customer where the organization promises to provide after sales services for certain duration at nominal costs.

After Sale Services are required to improve customer and company relationship to create loyal and satisfied customers in the long run, so that there’s improved sales thus revenue to the company resulting in permanent safe business.
