Activities Unit -1

  1. Enlist the product levels of goods in the consumer products and services.
  2. Identify and enlist different types of goods - consumer and industrial.
  3. Prepare a comparative table showing different types of consumer goods.
  4. Prepare a list of products and observe how they have moved through different stages of product life cycle.
  5. Draw a chart showing the types of packages.
  6. Draw a neat label of any product of your choice.

Activities Unit -2

  1. Identify different manufacturing and service organizations and gather information regarding their pricing objectives.
  2. Identify and enlist different internal and external factors affecting price of a product sold by different companies.
  3. Prepare a list of different pricing policies adopted by ten manufacturing and a service firms.

Activities Unit – 3

  1. Take 5 products of your choice and find out which type of channel of distribution have been involved.
  2. Teacher should make groups of four-five students each, to visit different marketing organisations in locality to list out marketing activities performed by retailers, wholesalers, distributor etc. and bring out the difference and similarities in them.
  3. Teacher should arrange a class discussion on ‘Is it possible to eliminate wholesaler?’.

  1. Draw a chart showing different factors affecting Promotion Mix.

Activities Unit – 5

  1. Teacher should arrange a class discussion on the concept Online Marketing and social media marketing.
  2. Prepare a list of companies that are helped by online marketing.
  3. Identify platforms used for social media marketing.

Wherever chart has been mentioned, students may be asked to prepare Power Point Presentation as C.B.S.E. has encouraged teachers to use Technology Integration in Teaching, by issuing a circular long back.
