Is Commerce Difficult?
Considering the difficulty is secondary point before choosing the subjects. First you decide what you want to become, then try to find out its requirements in terms of subjects, then consider the difficulty level of the subject.Difficulty of subject should not discourage you in pursuing your aim of becoming what you want to become. Interest and difficulty are opposite to each other. Everything becomes easy when done willingly.
Does Business Studies class 11th involve Mathematics?
No, only 3-4 cases of numerical questions are there in both classes, 11 and 12, taken together.
Which optional subject should I opt for 6th subject (Additional subject)?
Most of the students go for taking Physical Education. But it is also becoming technical now. It is not that easy to score very good marks .You have to work hard in this too. You can go for Music if you have interest in this subject.
Is Mathematics compulsory for Commerce students?
No, Mathematics is not compulsory by C.B.S.E. You can opt for any elective subject like Physical Education, Music, Computer Science etc.However , for some professional courses after 12th Class, you need Mathematics. But there are innumerable courses available even without Mathematics.
What is the course structure of class 11th Commerce in India?
If you want to appear under C.B.S.E. there are five subjects to be opted as per rules. Though board has not made a fixed combination for Commerce stream, there is a combination of four subjects taught in all schools, these are English, Accountancy, Business studies and Economics, fifth subject is generally Physical Education/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Music etc. of your choice.In case of State Boards these subjects are studied by some varying names.
How can I know if I am fit for Commerce stream?

What is the required percentage of marks to get admission in class 11th Commerce?
Board has not fixed any criteria regarding percentage required for opting Commerce stream, except that the student must have passed tenth class.The maximum percentage of a student in class 10th is required only for taking admission in a particular school, that depends on school to school and from area to area.
How can I remember Business Studies sub-points during exams?

What are the best books for class 11th Commerce students?
You must read NCERT books of all your opted subjects. This way, you are not only able to clear your basics of different subjects but also will lead to putting a firm foundation for scoring high marks in exams as the marking scheme is based on NCERT books.Apart from NCERT books, you should go for detailed reading and practice in case of numerical type questions from following books by private publishers:Accountancy-By T.S.Grewal, Business Studies-By Subhash Dey,Economics-By T.R.JainMathematics-By R.D.SharmaFinally, When final exams are near, practice of CBSE sample papers at least one popular test paper series is must.

If you really do what you intend now, you can definitely achieve what you want.But you need not worry about ‘The Board exams’ right now.First of all ,you make it a habit to have a glance at the chapter before it starts in the class.Listen to your teacher attentively.Have full concentration on what he/she says and do what he/she asks you to do at home.Revise everything at home. As the basics of every subject and topic are very important, clarify your doubts immediately , may be from teacher/ friends/ books or whatever. If you keep on accumulating your doubts, your problems will keep on multiplying.Specially in Accountancy , if you understand the basics, there are many chances that you are able to solve your exercises without much difficulty. Same holds true for Economics. In case of Business Studies whenever you are at ease, just go through the unit that interests you as a layman. Then read it thoroughly, it will boost your interest in the subject and the lecture of the teacher.This is all in general to start with.
How do I control myself for studying?
You must concentrate on your goal in life.
Can I do all questions including choice in Exam?
You can if you wish so.There is no penalty in doing this. But you will be punished by yourself as you will end up leaving some questions unanswered in the end.No one will give you marks for writing extra answers.So, It would be better if you write only required number of answers by careful planning.
What is the best learning time for 11th and 12th class students?
The best learning time is subjective. The only condition required is that you should be comfortable and the environment should be peaceful.Some students are comfortable in the early morning , some other are comfortable at late night.Don’t depend on others for such practices, try to find your own.
How can I concentrate on studies and get good marks?
For concentration , you need to motivate yourself first.If you are constantly focused on your goal, you will be able to concentrate on your studies.
For all the subjects revisions are must but I hate doing revision.
Everything is difficult before it becomes easy. That will become easy only by revision. Things stay in your memory only after revision, otherwise most of the content will be washed out from your memory. Consider every revision a step to increase your score.
What time table should I make to study effectively?
You have to prepare your own timetable depending on your own factors regarding, school lessons, subject difficulty, etc.
Which 11th Accountancy chapters are important for 12th Accountancy ?
You need strong base for Accountancy in class 12th. Basic terms, Rules of Double entry, Passing journal entries, Preparing Accounts, Basics of Profit and loss account, Balance sheet, depreciation reserves and provisions, are the topics every student is required to know for class 12th.

What are the important questions/topics in 12th Business Studies?
These days nothing can be called important ,more important or less important. If you think that you can score well only by reading selected topics, you are mistaken. C.B.S.E. has clearly indicated in its syllabus that nothing can be skipped by the student. Three four chapters make one unit from which questions of particular marks questions will be asked.Questions are set even from a single line incorporated in a para included in case studies, which comprise 80% of the questions.You must arrange the units depending on your interest and understanding, then learn these one by one. Learning without thorough understanding is not sufficient, as most of the questions based on case studies can be done only if you have fully prepared those units. So, Go for NCERT books along with detailed revision from a good book by a private publisher as suggested by your teacher.However, You must check the syllabus and then plan for preparation.
How do I solve case studies in class 12th Business studies exam?
Inclusion of Case studies in question paper of Business Studies, has created a sort of fear in the minds of most of the students. But, if a student has thoroughly read the content of NCERT Books, and gone through at least one book of any private publisher containing questions of different types, it would be more than enough. You can check and use the method of solving case studies.
How many hours a day should an average student study for 90%+ marks in board exams?
As such there is no fixed time duration for studying by which one can guarantee you the desired percentage in board exams.It all depends on your present position and performance in class 11th whether all the basics of class 11th subjects are clear to you, you attend the classes in school regularly and listen to the teacher attentively, devote time for regular practice and revision of the matter. You can make use of suggestions by topper students in this regard.
How is percentage calculated in 12th Commerce?
C.B.S.E. doesn’t give you the total of marks in the Detailed Marks Sheet.But the first five subjects are the regular subjects and the sixth if any is additional subject taken by the student.The total of first five subjects is considered for calculating the percentage of student who has passed all these subjects, sixth is ignored then. If the student has failed in one of the regular subject but passed the additional subject, the additional subject replaces the subject in which the candidate has failed.However, for the purposes of admission to various colleges, particular subject marks like Mathematics, can be given extra weightage, so, check well for what purpose you are calculating the percentage.
Is it true that my school will not give me admit card if I fail in Pre-board exam?
Conducting pre-board exams. is an internal affair of the school. If you have 75% attendance, there is no reason that your admit card can be withheld.
What happens if a student is absent or failed in additional subject in class 12th Board exam?
Nothing more serious than what appears to you. If you are absent in additional subject exam. you are marked absent in detailed marks sheet. It will not affect the result of regular subjects , in case you are pass in all subjects. But, in case you fail in any regular subject , and have missed the additional subject exam also, you will get compartment in that regular exam, but if you had appeared and passed the additional exam. it replaces the failed subject in regular subjects and you can pass the class.
What documents do we get after Board Exams are cleared?
Following documents are received by a student after passing class 12th (C.B.S.E.):Certificates received from C.B.S.E.Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) to all the students. Pass Certificate only to pass students Migration Certificate only to those who have appliedCertificates received from respective schoolCharacter Certificate and Any other pending certificate with school like N.C.C. Certificate, N.S.S. Certificate, Certificate for any Computer Course etc.
What career options do I have after 12th Commerce?
Please! accept this bald truth about the ‘best course’. Whatever you do with interest and determination can prove to be the best for you. You will be able to take admission in a particular course with the help of your past performance and entrance test etc. But you will be able to make that, the best only after admission, when you put in your best.
Some concepts make the chapter difficult for me.
Concept clarity. Read the text books thoroughly. While reading mark every concept. In case, you don’t understand the concept from one place try alternative sources till you get it.
I cannot devote time to my studies due to my friends.
Great that you have found the reason. Politely and firmly, you declare your study time with them. Chances are they get motivated by your decision. If they don’t, be more firm in your decision to study keeping yourself away from wasteful activities.
Laziness, overthinking, time management are my main problems.
Realization of your problem is your biggest opportunity. The single solution is to focus yourself towards your study goal in terms of percentage thus motivating yourself. Your attention will be diverted from the above mentioned problems to your goal.
My family members disturb me a lot during my study time.
Firmly tell them your problem that It is difficult for you to study with so much disturbance around. Set aside same time for study daily. Request them not to disturb when you are studying.
Constant reminders from my parents about how important my +2 result is going to be, really pressurize me.
Try to understand, parents are your greatest well wishers. If they find you serious in studies and preparing your subjects, they will hesitate asking you to study, again and again.
